As exciting as it was to see the Brewers make the playoffs, one small thing has yet to be determined. Who will the team play in the first round? The Brew Crew won last night, but so did the Diamondbacks. Last night's outcome makes tonight's game important. Should the Brewers win, and the D-Backs lose, Milwaukee will have home field advantage in the first round.
Yovani Gallardo Starts in Game One of the Playoffs
Yovani Gallardo will take the mound for game one, no matter where it will be played. He finished the season with seventeen wins, and an ERA of just over 3.5. Following Gallardo in game two will be Shaun Marcum. Marcum's pitching style works well against eager batters, and a playoff situation will assuredly make the opposing batters try a bit too hard to get on top of things.
