The Brewers lead the NLDS by two games for the first time in franchise history. They have a 57-24 home record, including the two victories over Arizona this weekend. This is one of the few trips to the post season for Milwaukee, so let's look at their home record during those contests.
The early eighties saw the team make consecutive trips to the playoffs in 81 and 82. They got all the way to the World Series in 82 but dropped a game seven to the Cardinals in St. Louis. The Yankees took them out early in 1981, losing a pair at County Stadium.
1981 Division Series – New York Yankees vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Game 1 – County Stadium (October 7, 1981)
New York Yankees: 5
Milwaukee Brewers: 3
Game 2 – County Stadium (October 8, 1981)
New York Yankees: 3
Milwaukee Brewers: 0
The Brewers went on to win game three in New York, but lost four and five to drop out of the playoffs.
The first round of postseason play in 1982 pitted Milwaukee against the California Angels. While the Angels won the first two games of the series in Anaheim, the Brewers followed with three straight wins in Milwaukee to move onto the World Series.
1982 American League Championship Series – California Angels vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Game 3 – County Stadium (October 8, 1982)
California Angels: 3
Milwaukee Brewers: 5
Game 4 – County Stadium (October 9, 1982)
California Angels: 5
Milwaukee Brewers: 9
Game 5 – County Stadium (October 10, 1982)
California Angels:3
Milwaukee Brewers: 4
With a positive postseason home record on the books the Brewers went into the 1982 World Series with confidence. Sadly that confidence was shaken in Milwaukee, and eventually broken at Busch Stadium. They routed the Cardinals in the first game of the series before dropping two straight, one in St. Louis and one at home. They rallied for the last two wins at County Stadium, but the final two games at the Cardinals home venue proved to be too much for the Brewers as they lost both games six and seven.
1982 World Series – St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Game 3 – County Stadium (October 15, 1982)
St. Louis Cardinals: 6
Milwaukee Brewers: 2

In 2008 the Brewers clinched a wild card spot and made their first playoff appearance in 26 years. It wasn't the come back that they had hoped for. Against the Phillies in the National League Division Series, Milwaukee lasted only four games. Philadelphia easily handled the Brewers at Citizens Bank Park, taking the first two games. In their first postseason game at Miller Park the Brew Crew won 4-1, but that was only silver lining. The following night the Phillies rolled to a 6-2 victory to take home the division title.
